The biggest mistake most of the poker players have done is getting carried away with the game. They get so addicted in the game that they put the bets for every hand. Sometimes; you need to drop few games to put the pace in control.

I have seen players fully drunk & playing the bets in those endless nights. In alcohol the player tends to put higher stakes without having the sense or control over him. The careless way of playing leads to loose the money quickly. So, never play in drunken state.

Most of us have seen in such games, to gain attention one boast of being the winner or creates a big show about his winning stories. Sure! Such acts of bluff works, but to a certain extent only. It’s better to play the game seriously rather taking it in a lighter or joking manner.

Do not pay attention or look what the other player has in the bet. Neither should one trust the words of a player who may tend to show honesty that he is not beating you. In a game like poker, one has to trust himself & just focus on the game & not on the comments or promises given by others.

Also, avoid playing the game when you are in an angry or depressed mood. At these times, the mind is un-steady & one takes hasty decisions without even bothering the outcomes. It’s always advisable to play the game in a relaxed or cool mood with nerves otherwise you never know who might take advantage of your situation at the table & lead you to losses.

Remember the rules of the game & keep your eyes constantly glued to the table. Figure out what is happening what is being mentioned there with attention to the calling or holding decisions.

People mostly play higher stakes in poker with a goal of winning a large sum in a single shot rather playing several games. Remember, patience & consistency always pays.You are not required to show anyone or like to prove yourself. It’s your money & the stakes played by you make the difference at the end of the day. Such foolish & short cut acts to play higher stakes for gaining profits will only lead your money down the drain.

People usually jump to the next table when they are on the winning spree. When you are making stakes at your table then stay there. Jumping into the big table for making large bets means you are playing with the big & wealthy sharks. They do not mind loosing the big money, being regular players of those tables but what about you.
