DRAW POKER, One of the basic forms of poker games mostly suited for beginners. Not mostly found in the big tables or casinos. Few rules or steps of this game should be known here,

Drawing – Here the players get to know the number of opportunities given to him for drawing cards from the deck. If for example they say –Two draws of 2 cards, this suggests that each player will be given 2 opportunities through out the game for drawing 2 new cards every time from the deck. But one must make sure that enough cards are available on the table to exercise this opportunity by the players.

– Wild cards give a better chance for playing in the game for a longer time. The Choice of picking any card and designating as wild can be done by the dealer.

Betting – Most of the poker games have 2 betting rounds. In the case of 2 draws in a game then we have 3 betting rounds.Bettings are more preferred since the players pay honestly the dues & no signs of bluffing can take place.

Pay for you draw – By using this feature, one can increase the pot & play low that helps in drawing games including the wild cards. Each player must pay for the card they would like draw from the deck.

STUD POKER - in this type of poker game, one plays with the cards where some have face up & some face down.

Typical Stud – Stud games are played with 5 or 7 cards.

Wild cards – If the dealer calls that the Kings are wild, then this means the player is dealing with a face-up of the King. One may also hear like this, Kings are wild in the hole.

High/Low-Mostly seen in all the Stud poker games. When a Player has a best hand at the table & the other player has a worst hand then the pot is split. This facility allows the players to stay & play longer. A player who wins the high and the low is called as a pig, wins the entire pot.

Lowball- Depending on the rules, sometimes the low hand wins.

New York Stud- Sometimes added to the Stud, giving an impression that an outside straight beats a pair losing to the two pair.

Canadian Stud- Similar to the New York stud, here the four-flush beats an outside straight. Four cards of a player belonging to same type of suit is called a Four-flush.

Spanish Stud – To include this variation in the game, 20 cards are removed & the game is played with only 32 cards. The cards that are removed will be Sixes, fives, fours, threes & twos. Only six people can play this game.
